First, a report on the Fayre by Elena Lynch: “This year’s May Queen was Eilis Davis, and her two attendants were Emily Blackburn and Imogen Moody. They were brought in by pony and trap, right up to the stage, where Mrs Brown (a former teacher) awaited them to open the May Fayre and crown the May Queen. The trap was brought to stop just before the wooden platform. Everybody cheered as the May Queen was led up, and they took photos.”
